The Funny Papers is a labor of love by a life-long comic enthusiast, a regularly updated hand-curated collection of some of the best daily strips and serials from the golden age of newspaper comics to today. It's intended to replicate the experience of a big Sunday comic strip section, something that's becoming harder to find in a world where newspapers are declining in relevance and online content platforms are increasingly fractured and marred by paywalls. It's offered ad-free and no donations are accepted to offset costs, instead it's funded by a generous grant from the Owlmoth Collective in recognition of the humanist value of preserving these works and introducing them to new generations of readers, authors, and illustrators. Original watermarks and attributions are never cropped or otherwise obscured, and works displayed are linked to their creator's website whenever possible.
